Time lapse video: smog surging over Beijing
Shocking timelapse video showing smog blanketing the Chinese capital of Beijing is going viral on Chinese social media.
The video was shot by British engineer Chas Pope from the 30th floor of an office block in Beijing’s central business district on January 2, 2017.
It shows a wall of pollution sweeping into the capital over a 20-minute period on Monday morning.
The video was described by Chas Pope as the worst example of pollution he’s seen since moving to China 13 years ago.
