China concludes the 15 days it dedicates to New Years and Spring Festival with its Lantern Festival. This year it took place on March 2.
The Lantern Festival features lanterns, as you have probably already assumed. But it is also welcomed with fireworks, flying drones, riddle guessing, eating tangyuan, lion dances, dragon dances, and walking on stilts. (Find more information by tapping here.)
The three-and-a-half-minute video below features highlights from the festival. It also teaches some Chinese phrases. Happy yuan xiao jie!
