Recently, three of 316NOW's online professors compared their experiences. Here's a look at part of that conversation.

Professor A

“I love teaching these classes and working with these students,” one of 316NOW’s Bible institute professors said. He was in a conversation with two other faculty members.

“The appreciation they show is encouraging and gratifying. Their appreciation keeps me going.”

Professor B

Another faculty member commented about the level of discussion he encounters. “Teaching New Testament courses has forced me to go back to the original Greek, to look closely at the text, to understand the shading of words.”

Professor C

The third professor talked about some of the challenges of teaching in an online classroom. “The Bible institute has helped to hone my teaching skills. Of course, I teach each week in my congregation. But I’ve found it harder to teach when I don’t see my students. It’s also hard because we don’t talk the same language.”

Professor A

“But haven’t you also found,” our first professor asked, “that our students can’t get enough of the gospel? Some of their questions reveal that some new law in their church is weighing them down. I have a chance to guide them with the gospel rather than the law. I get to say, ‘Here’s what Scripture says. You decide whether your church is right.’”

What you can do:  Join us at 316NOW in thanking God for the well-trained, dedicated faculty members the Spirit has given us.
