MINISTRY//“Different is different!”

When members at the church of one of our students heard him preach, they have told him, "Different is different."

A compliment

"Different is different" might sound like they were finding fault with his message because it was different than what they were expecting.

But in this case, they were complimenting him. His message was different than what they were used to because it was better. They were hearing from him Bible truths that other preachers had not shared with them or, worse, misinterpreted. His message was clearer than what they were used to hearing.

A reflection on his training

Our student meets regularly with one of our Bible institute professors to prepare his sermons. Together they study his sermon text. Together they ask the Spirit to guide their understanding of his Word. Together they determine how best to bring that part of God's Bible to life for Christians in China.
