The two graduates of our Bible institute who were able to travel to the United States earlier this month visited a variety of places in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa. One of their online professors, a pastor at a city they visited, wrote the following.
[My members] enjoyed so much hearing how “grace across China” is being spread through our teaching. We would love to have them all back again -- soon. Christians from the U.S. enjoying the company of Christians from China was a testimony to the Christian love and fellowship that the Holy Spirit enables us to share in Christ, even if we cannot speak the same language. Their visit was a wonderful example of what some of our Revelation lessons this Easter time have been presenting to us on Sunday. God richly blessed our groups with our Chinese Christians friends' presence here.
In response, the translator who traveled with our graduates wrote:
Thank you so much for your hosting to our graduates. Thank you for your very thoughtful visiting schedules you arranged. We were so impressed that you even put a Chinese welcoming advertisement on your church’s electronic sign and in the local newspaper. Thank you also for arranging for us to stay at [your member’s] home. We enjoyed the time together with her warm hosting. We also experienced Christian joy through our face-to-face sharing, singing , and laughing. Please share our students’ warm greetings and thankfulness with your congregations.
What you can do: Our students are now safely back home. They have many stories to share about the time they spent with their American teachers and with American Christians. Please thank God for their safe travels and ask that they, along with all our students, are encouraged to share grace across China NOW.
