Who we are

316NOW believes Jesus Christ is the only door that opens heaven. We are devoted to the biblical, Christian teachings treasured by the Confessional, evangelical Lutheran church.

316NOW is a ministry of Confessional Lutherans committed to bringing the gospel to the Chinese people by empowering Chinese Christian leaders and churches through Scripture study, mentoring, and consulting. 

It is our goal to share evangelical Lutheran doctrine and practice across China. In that way, we seek to raise up a Confessional Lutheran presence in China.

At the core of our ministry is a commitment to be Bible-honoring Confessional Lutherans, to live out a Christ-centered urgency to our mission, to focus our attention on the spiritual needs of China, to enlist volunteer servant-partners, and to be responsible with all the resources the Spirit gives us.

The board of directors, administrators, and staff of 316NOW are Confessional Lutherans who are committed to making disciples for Jesus among Chinese people. Rev. Wayne Hilgendorf serves as the chairman of our board of directors. Mark Wagner, a retired WELS pastor, is our executive director. For the security of our ministry, our normal policy is not to publish the names of our leaders.
