Outreach to Chinese Expatriates

Fifty million Chinese live outside of China. About 5,000,000 (10%) of them are Christians. These Christians are outside the reach of China’s Great Firewall which prohibits online discussion of religion and China’s restrictions on worship and other religious activities.

316NOW, working with other Confessional Lutheran organizations, is developing a strategy to invite expatriate Chinese church leaders to attend our Bible institute and to benefit from our mentoring and consulting ministry. The goal is to prepare them to raise up Biblically sound house churches when they return to China.

The pilot project for expatriate outreach will start small, focusing on three areas of North America. Lessons learned there will eventually open the remainder of North America to the program. God willing, the program will extend to the rest of the planet.
