China: America’s Premier Trading Partner

China is America's largest trading partner.  With a total of $663 billion in annual trade, the China/U.S. economic partnership is worth more than any other country’s trading partnership with the U.S.  

In second and third place as trading partners with the U.S. is Canada and Mexico.  In 2015 the United States’ trade totals with China, Canada, and Mexico accounted for nearly $2 trillion worth of imports and exports.  U.S. trade with all the nations of the world was worth $5 trillion.
