A Chinese Ghost City

Kangbashi is a Chinese city designed to house one million people.  China’s newly wealth class was the target audience for this Western style city.  Unfortunately, China's popped housing bubble has put off, if not destroyed, the original dreams for enjoying life here.

Kangbashi is only one of many cities that have been built in China that are now “ghost cities,” huge cities filled with high rises, stores, schools, offices, and business areas that are almost entirely empty.  Learn more about ghost cities here.
