MINISTRY//Traveler updates
Since mid-October four of our Bible institute teachers have been traveling and teaching in China. During these travels we personally connect with as many online students as possible. One of our professors describes a day in the life of our team.
We started our day at 7:30. (half an hour later than usual). We went by cab to a church. It took close to 10 minutes. The cost in American money was about $1.50.
We were warmly greeted by the pastor. I conducted a Sunday School workshop here last year for 1 and 1/2 days.
I was there with one of the other professors. He taught two sessions, one on stewardship and the second on assimilating new members.
After each break, I opened the class with a song that the students could sing along in Chinese.
Our third team member met with an English speaking group to continue his talk on Bible interpretation. He also answered ministry questions.
Our final Bible institute leader met with choir members to provide them with music help.
Close to 60 attended the three workshops.
For lunch we ate outside. It looked like a picnic in the park.
We came it back to the hotel around 5:00.
When it was time for dinner, one of my web students met us. She traveled by bus to meet us and to thank us. She paid for the dinner with about 20 people in attendance.
Before supper, two individuals from the group were baptized.
