In July 2018, we reported here on a church group 316NOW mentors that was meeting in a below street bunker. Read the article here.

The church is not registered with the government, which makes it an “underground” (illegal) church. Since it met several meters below street level, it was also a literal underground church.

Since that time, local officials have discovered that the group was using the bunker for worship, so they withdrew permission for the group to gather there.

But those Christians continue to meet. Now they meet online — twice a week. On Wednesdays they meet for prayer. On Sundays they meet for worship. The sermons they hear are delivered by 316NOW teachers who speak Mandarin.

What you can do: Keep this group in your prayers. Pray for the spiritual growth of their many leaders who attend our online Bible institute. Ask the Spirit to win many souls through their evangelism efforts.
