MINISTRY//Grace's difference

One of our Bible institute students attends a church whose leaders who over-emphasize that law and under-emphasize the gospel. We'll call him Renshu.

Gratitude for grace

The assistant to our administrative team has traveled in China for us since last fall. She described our student's gratitude for learning that God's love for us flows from his grace, not our performance. She noted that, when she visited Renshu, she found he had arranged for her to meet a number of people in his church. They welcomed her warmly.

After that, Renshu brought her to his home. Our assistant tells us, "There he continued to share his irresistible joy for another hour. He talked about his deep understanding of the message of grace. He explained that he realized why the gospel should dominate in our sharing, teaching, and preaching.”

Evidence of grace

"I was very moved to see the tenderness and gratitude that showed on his face! Especially because this beautiful expression comes from someone whose church demands obedience from Christians rather than celebrates the gospel and how it motivates obedience.”

"Pray for Renshu that God uses him to bring pure, sweet gospel to his church brothers and sisters."

What you can do: Ask the Spirit to help Renshu and all our Bible institute students to share what they learn from our courses.
