MINISTRY//2020 writers' workshop

316NOW’s Education Division’s leaders held an online meeting this morning. The committee members were scattered across five states.

One of the items they discussed was next June’s workshop for pastors associated with 316NOW who are tasked with revising the courses in our Bible institute curriculum or with writing new courses.

We have hosted these writers workshops for more than a half-decade. Over the course of three days, authors plan out their courses, confer with each other about their assignments, and prepare to write their courses. Writers also hear from experts in adult education, online instruction, and cross-cultural communication. Although some writing takes place during the workshops, most courses are written in the months that follow.

The leaders of the Education Division are forming a committee that will determine the courses that will be improved or developed. It will also manage housing arrangements, assembling a team of writers, and providing resources to our writers.
