MINISTRY//Grandkids, COVID, and prayers

The relationships between 316NOW's Bible institute's students and our pastors run deep.

Three grandchildren of one of our pastors were recently diagnosed with COVID-19. When three of his friends in China found out, they immediately began praying for them and their families. They also asked their congregations to join in the prayers.

The pastor wasn't aware these prayer warriors were taking up the battle until he began receiving messages from them. They wrote:

  •  Pastor, hello, I just learned that your three grandchildren are sick. My wife and I feel very sad. May the merciful Lord heal them personally and give them peace and return their health back to them. May you and your family rest in the peace of the Lord. Together, we pray for our Lord to bless your family! May the joy of Christmas and the health of the children accompany you into a beautiful and grateful New Year. May God be with you and your family! Amen!

  •  Dear Pastor, may it please God to give you strength. We ask God to take extra pity on your three grandchildren, personally heal them, protect them, and help them recover as soon as possible. Your Chinese brothers and sisters will pray for you and ask the Triune, the only true God, to listen to our cry, because God is the God who loves us! Amen!

  • Hi, Pastor. My groups and classmates in the Bible institute are praying for your family. I look forward to hearing from you soon about your grandkids.

This pastor writes:

How grateful I am to have Christian brothers and sisters in China who are flooding our Father's throne room with prayers for my family. I continue to be humbled and impressed by the importance these forever friends put on prayer.  What a privilege to have them in my life. And more than that, what a joy to know we share the same Savior and the same eternity.
