“God has richly blessed us with our new board members,” 316NOW’s executive director says. “They will deepen our leaders’ ability to provide solid business sense, educational insights, and gospel-prompted determination to our grace across China NOW mission.”

For security reasons, we are not able to report the names of our new board members (or current board members). However, two come to us with long careers in the business world. Two come to us after long careers in education at a variety of levels.

This expands our board to eleven.

Our executive director explains, “Because 316NOW’s present board structure is relatively new (2017), our board continues to evolve. We aim to have a board of Christian leaders that will match the group size, the leadership experience, and the spirit of entrepeneurialship that our ministry requires as it grows. This is especially important as we deal with changing conditions in China. In prior years, our board was just a handful of men. Now, because our ministry has expanded, we need more voices at the table.”

What you can do: Do you know Confessional Lutherans who might serve on our board? We are especially considering college-level educators and upper-management business men. Experience with Chinese culture (including being Chinese) and the ability to speak Mandarin would be valued additions. To nominate people like this, email us at 316NOW@316NOW.org
