What if?

In these uncertain times, 316NOW has its own what-ifs to wrestle with.  One area of uncertainty is, "What if our online  Bible institute is blocked by China's Great Firewall?" The institute is central to 316NOW's strategy to proclaim grace across China NOW. Wouldn't that cripple 316NOW?

God is greater

316NOW's executive director says no.

"We keep reminding ourselves that God is greater. There is no barrier, no problem, no challenge that our God does not anticipate and reshape for his gracious purposes.  God is greater than any difficulties his Church may face."

Developing a strategy to recruit expatriate Chinese Christians into our Bible institute is only a small part of the ministry plan 316NOW’s board of directors has approved for the 2020-21 fiscal year.

Contingency

“But that's doesn't mean we don't anticipate problems and prayerfully plan to address them. We are doing that with our Bible institute. During our 2020-21 fiscal year, we will develop a strategy to reach Chinese Christians who live outside of China. Current studies estimate that 50 million Chinese live and work outside of China. If 10% of them are Christian (about 10% of Chinese are Christian), that means we could offer our curriculum to 5,000,000 Chinese around the globe."

“If we could enroll 0.1% of that number, our student body would grow by 500 students!  Think of what that would mean to the Church in China! Our teaching and our personal mentoring would empower the students from that group of expatriate Chinese to return home as solidly trained church leaders and church founders."

316NOW rejoices that the God who sent his Son to be our Savior is greater than anything. 316NOW makes its plans for the future clinging to that truth.

What you can do: Face your what-ifs knowing your Father-God is greater. Pray for our Father's continuing guidance on 316NOW's grace across China NOW ministry, especially in the face of obstacles.
