MINISTRY//Sheep to Lambs news
Our Sheep to Lambs program is preparing lessons for kindergartners through 2nd grade. At the moment we are at the field test stage. We have asked friends in China to try out our materials for teachers and our materials for children. Their evaluations will tell us how we can improve our lessons.
Those friends have been eager to help. One of them who has two lower-grade-school-age children wrote, "I would be very blessed of I can use your materials with my two children. Thank you. God bless you."
Another friend wrote: "Thank you, dear pastor. Two lessons are good enough to test-teach. [Since we still have COVID restrictions,] I want to find the best way to have the class. We will test them soon."
Two Lutheran grade school teachers are working with our Sheep to Lambs team to produce these lessons. They have many decades of classroom experience. The lessons for the children are translated from Northwestern Publishing House's Christ Light materials. The teacher lessons are designed by our teacher-editors with help from the Lutheran Heritage Foundation's Sunday school teacher materials.
We have already published materials that Chinese Christians will use to teach children from 3rd through 5th grades about God's grace in Jesus. God willing, by year's end, materials for kindergarten through 2nd grade will be written, translated, and ready for Chinese Christians to use.
What you can do: Our friend in China wrote about testing our new lessons. "It is in my prayers. " Please add this new level of Bible story lessons to your prayers, too.
