2020-21 ministry update: Mainland China Ministries Division

316NOW's Mainland China Ministries (MCM) division is the next step for our online Bible institute students who desire to become leaders in a Confessional Lutheran church in China. 316NOW’s board of directors approved the following ministry plan for MCM at its 2020-21 annual meeting in June.

• By the end of 2020, a specially appointed board committee will finish developing a refined ministry strategy for MCM. The committee is working with sister organizations that work in China so the MCM curriculum is coordinated with their efforts.

• MCM will provide Christian church leaders with a higher level of training than our Bible institute provides. Courses will include theology and practical ministry courses. We will also provide one-on-one mentoring for our students.

• MCM will help its students start and grow Lutheran house churches.

• Our students will also be introduced to fellow Chinese Lutherans and work with them to share the gospel across their country.

• God willing, within three years, 20 students will be enrolled in MCM’s program. Several of those students will go on to teach in our online Bible institute.
