Marriage and family health in modern China needs medicine that only God’s grace can provide.

“Families in China are in horrible shape for a variety of cultural reasons,” our executive director says. “We believe that sharing God's plan for families and marriages will strengthen Christian homes and provide opportunities to share the gospel in China. But beyond that, a marriage and family program will enable 316NOW to begin to identify Christian leaders who could become banner-bearers for Confessional Lutheranism in China. That goal is our ultimate purpose for a family and marriage program.”

Our 2020-21 ministry plans for providing marriage and family help to Chinese families include:

• Evaluating our current pilot project. It focused on helping Chinese children discover God’s plan for their homes.

• Creating a toolbox that church leaders could draw from to help members of their congregations create healthier marriages and families.

• Developing courses that church leaders could teach to the families in their congregations.

We anticipate that this program will be in place by late spring 2021.

We are pleased to have a highly qualified team of men and women to develop this program. They are educators, family ministers, and pastors. The team includes Chinese Christians who are Confessional Lutherans.
