All of our Bible institute students are adults who are church leaders.

Except for a 12-year-old boy.

Cheng has been attending our courses that help Chinese Christian children learn more about God’s grace and how God’s love empowers them to live in their homes. He’s continuing those studies this fall, but he’s also taking a Bible institute course on the difference between law and gospel.

Cheng is an extraordinarily gifted young man. He excels in school. His musical abilities have earned him recognition on a national level. His English skills are superb. His desire to learn more about his Savior is remarkable. And now he and his mother are enrolled in one of our Bible institute classes.

We have never had such a young student in our Bible institute — and probably won’t ever have another. But Cheng is demonstrating to the adults in his online classroom that he is learning as much as they are. In fact, his mother says that he is “a greater helper to her study.”

We wonder what plans the Spirit has for Cheng in our Savior’s kingdom. We pray he will use Cheng to bring the gospel to millions of Chinese.

What you can do: Ask the Spirit to continue to raise us Chinese church leaders who will fearless proclaim grace across China NOW. And, as you offer that prayer, pray also for Cheng.
