NEWS//316NOW has a new liaison

Two weeks ago, we asked you to pray about a call 316NOW extended to a Chinese man to become our next liaison. We are overjoyed to report that that man has accepted our call.

Out of security concerns, we will use a pseudonym for our new liaison when we write about him on the internet. We are calling him “Si,” a name that derives from Simon; it means “God has heard.”

Si’s will serve as a liaison, that is a bridge or an ambassador, between the American side of our ministry and the Chinese Christians to whom we minister. Specifically, Si will

• Help 316NOW to create a larger Confessional Lutheran presence in China.

• Serve as an advisor to our board and administrators.

• Develop and maintain relationships with our students and friends in China. He will be their friend, counselor, and shepherd.

• Work with the Administrative Team to plan and implement our ministry plans, including teaching trips in China and other parts of the world.

Thank you for asking the Spirit to guide Si during his call deliberation. Now, please continue to pray for the Spirit to guide Si so that the gospel is proclaimed across China NOW.
