DEVOTION//Only Light Crushes Shadows

YouTubers know that a professional-looking video requires light. We can’t film our excellent post, in our favorite room, and obtain good results without proper lighting (at least in most rooms this is not the case).

For preferred results, we need front lighting, side lighting, and backlighting.

Shadows will distract your viewers. Darkness will crush your brilliant video message.

Life can seem like a dark YouTube channel we wouldn’t want to watch.

The topic, our life, is not exciting. We have normal days, filled with normal events and normal results.

Worse, our mind and heart might feel trapped in shadows of pain, anxiety, frustration, or depression.

We need light to crush the shadows of our heart, our mind, and our life. Jesus is the light who can and who has crushed the shadows.

Knowing the forgiveness which Jesus provides crushes the shadows residing in our heart, mind, and lives.

Knowing that Jesus always guides our lives, especially in the worst of times, crushes the shadows that surround us.

Those are the promises of the Light of the World. We can trust Jesus’ promises.

If you do not know Jesus, get to know him.

If you had an off-putting experience with a church, Jesus is bigger than any church. He can crush that shadow, too.

The shadows in your life can be crushed by Jesus' light.

Jesus told Paul to share that light. What he shared is the same light that you and I need to crush our shadows.

I am Jesus, ..... I am sending you to them… to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me (Acts 26:15,18 ).
