Celebration filled my post-Easter messages from China.

A friend sent me an Easter meme that reads, "Alleluia!" Another sent a video of her church’s choir.

"Three days after Jesus died, he came alive again and is now in heaven," a friend reminded me.

"Dear Pastor," another friend wrote with excitement, "my church is open. We can celebrate our Easter!"

Someone else sent me a Scripture graphic that quoted 1 Peter 1:3,4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…."

The most touching message

But another message especially touched me.

It was from a small group of believers 316NOW is working closely with. These two dozen Christians don't have a trained pastor. Their leadership team has studied with our Bible institute for many years. Their head elder studies sermon texts with one of our professors each week so he can preach a sermon at their services.

There was an extraordinary celebration at their Easter service. This church welcomed two young men, brothers, into their church through baptism. (For security reasons, we are not showing their faces.) 

What you can do: Thank the Holy Spirit for using 316NOW's Bible institute to build Chinese believers in their faith and for equipping them to share Easter's joy in their communities.
