MINISTRY//"I really appreciate their teaching"

At the end of a Bible institute class, our liaison asked if any of the students had something they wanted to share with our professors.

One of the students (we'll call her Chao-xing) replied, "Yes, I do. Please tell the pastors that I really appreciate their teaching. They give their whole body to the Lord. They serve us with love and truth. This really encourages me to serve the church." 

These words take on special meaning for us at 316NOW because Chao-xing describes herself as a person who for many years was "a Christian in name only."

Her Christian grandmother shared the gospel with her when she was a child and she became a believer. For the beginning of her adult years, though, she was too busy with her life for Jesus to have a place.

Two years ago, she began taking classes in our Bible institute. Her heart was "warmed" by the message of God's grace. She recommitted herself to her church family and became an active leader of a small group Bible study.

Chao-xing is another of our students to discover the beauty of God's undeserved love and to dedicate herself to living to thank him for it.

What you can do: Especially in this Easter season, ask the Spirit to bring more of our students to a complete understanding of God’s grace to us through our risen Savior.
