DEVOTION//What are you wearing today?

Christ offers you the robes of his own righteousness.

• All glorious is the princess in her chamber, with robes interwoven with gold. In many-colored robes she is led to the king (Psalm45:13).

• Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb,… the holy city Jerusalem coming down outof heaven from God, having the glory of God (Revelation 22:9-11).

The Bridal people of God wear the robes of God’s own righteousness:

• robes woven in the flesh of Christ on Calvary,

• robes washed in blood of Christ poured out from the cross,

• robes wrapped around the Bride upon her faith-union to the Risen Lord,

• and the only robes in which she can walk to be presented holy and blameless before her King and Groom and God (Ephesians 5:25-27).

May the Church, the Wife of the Lamb, refuse every gaudy garment offered by the world and clothe herself only in the bridal robe given her by God, the robe “who is” her slain and risen Lord (Romans 13:14).
