MINISTRY//Bible studies with Helen

316NOW offers several women's Bible studies in China. The studies are led by gifted WELS women who live in the United States. These Chinese and American Christians connect online. One of those Bible study leaders shares this story. 

When I first met Helen she was a Christian wife and the mother of two small girls. She was so eager to learn God’s Word and teach it to her children. She also shared those truths with the children in her small early childhood class.

In addition to attending my Bible study, she records the classes for her own devotional use.

She has shared with our group the ache in her heart for her husband and his parents. They are not Christian. The causes issues with her marriage. In her culture, the parents of a couple have a big impact on marriage. For Helen, this has been a negative dynamic. Her mother-in-law regularly complains about Helen to her husband. But through the Spirit working in his Word, Helen has received the power to forgive and to be at peace. What a joy!

When COVID impacted China, Helen and her children still connected with their Christian family and God’s Word over the 316NOW Bible studies.

Helen has a passion to help parents to teach their children God’s Word. She has considered how she might use 316NOW's Sheep to Lambs materials with the families she knows.
