Examples

Those are the words of one of our board members. He and his wife lived for nine months in Hong Kong and also traveled in Mainland China.

To illustrate his words, his wife added, "My hairdresser was a member of one of our churches. It was so wonderful to hear him talk about sharing the gospel with his customers, many of whom were not Christians."

"We had very good conversations in the course of a haircut about sharing the gospel and what the gospel meant to him. I came away looking much better and feeling much better because I was able to strengthen him and he was able to strengthen me."

Encouragers

I, too, have been encouraged -- and humbled -- by the Chinese Christians I have met. They take their relationship with Jesus seriously, more seriously than most American Christians. And, in spite of the barriers, they eagerly look for opportunities to share their Savior with others. Like our board member and his wife, I have learned much from them about living out my faith in Jesus. I am grateful for having them in my life.
