Emotional challenges, including suicidal thinking and actions, have exploded across the United States since the stresses of Covid began to pummel our country.

Zero tolerance

The situation is worse in China where there is zero tolerance for Covid (cities of millions have been shut down because of a handful of Covid cases). Add to that the strain that China's battle against Covid has put on the economy, households, and employees.

Recently, one of our students, we'll call her Meiling, reached out to one of our American team members. “Let me talk to you," she said. "Help distract from these suicidal thoughts. The epidemic, the pressure of work…. It's all too much."

Infinite comfort

Our team member writes, "Thank God for his mercy. We shared God's promises with each other until she was at peace."

But care for this troubled sister did not stop with a phone call. Our team member assembled a support group of three of our friends who live in China to offer her continuing spiritual help.

Please pray for God’s peace and healing to overflow in Meiling's life. Ask the Spirit to direct her support group. Beyond that, ask the Spirit to use Meiling's situation to teach her and her Christian friends to bring gospel help to the many millions who are also struggling.
