Ministry / 50 million Chinese

50 million Chinese live outside of China. That's only a little less than the combined populations of Texas and Florida.  

Of those 50,000,000 Chinese, probably about 10% (5,000,000 people) are Christian. 

Invitations to Chinese ex-pats

316NOW is exploring how we might begin to identify some of those 5 million Christians and invite them to take our online classes. 316NOW's Bible institute is already positioned to train them to lead house churches wherever they live now and to begin house churches when they return to China. 

China continues to make it harder for us to communicate with Chinese Christians within its borders. And it is making it harder for those Chinese Christians to attend our classes. But because ex-patriate Chinese live outside China's "Great Firewall," they aren't limited by the internet restrictions on religious content that China has imposed on its citizens. Two other advantages: they can more freely practice their faith and we could personally visit them. 

Plans to reach out to ex-patriate Chinese Christians have been brewing for three years. It is now one of our two top priorities for our next fiscal year. God willing, this new facet of our grace across China NOW work will be operational by 2023. 

What you can do: China is closing doors to the gospel. Ask the Spirit to open other doors so the gospel might come to Chinese Christians. Pray especially for his blessing on 316NOW plans to reach out to ex-patriate Chinese Christians.
