Interesting trivia. Now you know four facts that most people don't.

Here's something else most people on the planet don't know. It's not trivia or trivial. Their soul's existence depends on understanding this fact.

• It is impossible for sinful humans to make themselves right with the holy God.

Most people don’t know they can’t make themselves right with God

Every religion, accept Christianity, is based on some form of the theory humans can make themselves right with God. They teach that if people pray enough, give enough, sacrifice enough, meditate enough, and help others enough, God is satisfied.

But God’s Word says: No one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law…. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:20).

No amount of our trying to satisfy God with good deeds will ever be enough. We will always fall short.

Most people don’t know God has given them his righteousness

Yet God doesn't leave us to face the consequences of our sin. He gives us a solution. All are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood (Romans 3:24,25).

Try this. The next time you are wowing your friends with strange facts, bring up how it is impossible for any of them to please God. And don't stop there. Yes, don't stop there! Talk about how our loving Father has given them his righteousness. Introduce them to Jesus.
