MINISTRY / A blessing worth celebrating
I attended a Chinese Lutheran pastor's ordination on Sunday morning. Because of the time difference, it was Saturday night here in the Midwest. I attended online along with two dozen others from various places in the world.
Celebration
The service brimmed with celebration. Celebration that
God sent his Son to forgive us as a gift of his grace.
The Holy Spirit has trained, equipped, and appointed another orthodox shepherd to serve in China.
This Confessional Lutheran church in China had a new pastor.
In this way God has answered the prayers of countless Christians who are asking him to adopt more people in China.
316NOW celebration
I also celebrated because 316NOW is linked to a worldwide network of Confessional Lutherans that is committed to bringing the joy of Christmas — and Easter — to China.
316NOW does not proclaim grace across China alone. We are part of a consortium of brothers and sisters in Christ who share the same focus. 316NOW's audience is different than our sister organizations. Our approach is different. But our goal is the same: to praise our gracious God forever with as many Chinese people as we can reach with the gospel.
These are blessings worth celebrating.
