MINISTRY / Under police surveillance

One of our unregistered house churches has come under government surveillance.

A time for concern

A key leader in the group was recently summoned to the local police department because government officials discovered he was conducting Bible studies online. He was not charged with a crime, but he was warned that he cannot share religious content online. However, the police will monitor his activities more closely for some time. The police will also pay attention to the people that he has contact with online -- and probably in real life.

This means that the members of this house church won't be able to meet face-to-face for worship and Bible study. There is good news. Group members can attend classes with 316NOW because our online conferencing platform is secure from hacking.

A time for prayer

Keep these believers in your prayers. As well as all Chinese Christians. Ask for their protection from persecution. Ask that they can stay close to Jesus through regular contact with his Word. Ask that they trust God's grace-promised protection and that they do not give way to fear.

3/16NOW Day arrives on March 16 (3/16). How will you celebrate it?
