MINISTRY / More exciting challenges ahead

Keeping up with the ministry opportunities the Spirit is giving 316NOW is a challenge. An exciting challenge.

Online worship

316NOW has a group of friends in a large Chinese city of over 10 million people. This group has been studying with us for a number of years. Because group members are separated by an hour or more and because they don't have a trained pastor, they are asking if there is a way for them to worship online with someone from 316NOW leading the service. Two other Christians from different cities in China are asking the same question. Add to that a Chinese man who lives in Europe.

Until now, 316NOW has centered its ministry on rising up Christian leaders so they could be equipped to lead worship services and provide additional spiritual care. Obviously, that is not meeting the spiritual needs of everyone we know in China.

Collaboration with others

Our administrators are considering how we might provide online worship services for our friends in China. One approach we are exploring is introducing them to other Confessional Lutheran Chinese pastors in North America who already provide online worship. Confessional Lutheran pastors in China are also an option, though their lack of online security must be considered.

These are good challenges. Exciting challenges.
