MINISTRY / Pray for this church

Please join me in praying for a Chinese congregation I visited while traveling in Southeast Asia in February. For an overview of that trip tap here.

Prayer requests

We worshiped with a dozen Confessional Lutherans on a Saturday afternoon. After the service, we shared with each other how the Spirit has been working in our ministries. What the church was most excited about was using a grant they had recently received to do outreach in their community. They have designed activities that will bring children, adults, and families into their rented space. They especially will focus on people who recently moved into their parish area.

These Christians asked us to ask you to pray for several items. Would you take a few minutes to talk with our Father about them? Pray for:

• Courage for church members to share the gospel.

• Courage for members of neighboring sister churches to share the gospel.

• The well-being of their church leaders, especially their pastor who is recovering from cancer.

• The success of their plans to more aggressively reach out to their community.

• A grace-confident spirit that will encourage them to keep developing ways to share the gospel.

And while you are praying for this group of Chinese Christians, please add in every other Confessional Lutheran group in China.
