Ministry / The best way to invite expatriate Chinese Christians

The website link that you tapped a few moments ago—the link that took you to some business' special offer—why did you tap it? How did that advertisement make you curious enough to check out that site? Was it something in the text? Was it the graphic? The colors? The layout?

The best advertising approach

316NOW is researching the factors that will encourage expatriate Chinese Christians to check out our Bible institute. Our advertisements for our institute are appearing on Google and in Facebook. They are moving some Chinese Christians who live in the United States to learn more about our online training program.

But we want to discover how to attract even more.

Goal: more house church shepherds

316NOW's goal is to train Chinese expats to gather and shepherd small groups of believers wherever they happen to live in the world. With our help, those house churches will share the gospel with even more people.

To welcome more students into our Bible institute, 316NOW's expat outreach team is experimenting with assembling the right mix of words and graphics and videos and typefaces in our advertising. We are considering gifts we might give. We are adjusting the colors and photography and backgrounds as we learn to best communicate with our audience. We are learning how much Mandarin and how much English our ads should contain.

Fortunately, the Spirit has led us to a professional marketer who is helping us find our marketing "sweet spot." But even with that assistance, this process requires a lot of trial and error before arrival at the right solution.

Something to pray about

Would you pray about this with us? Ask the Spirit to shorten our learning curve. Ask him to help us offer the training of our Bible institute to the 50 million Chinese who live outside of China.
