Give the gift that lasts: Make-A-Will Month
August is National Make-A-Will Month, an opportunity and invitation for Christians to pause and reflect on the many ways God has blessed us. More than a practical checklist, creating or updating a will is a purposeful act of faithful stewardship. It brings peace of mind to those we love. It also ensures that our values and priorities continue to shape the future long after we are gone.
Scripture repeatedly calls us to manage well what the Lord has entrusted to us. A thoughtfully prepared estate plan is a tangible, lasting way to do that. It protects our family, clarifies our wishes, and opens the door for us to leave a legacy of faith. Many believers choose to include a charitable gift in their wills or other estate plans, directing resources toward Christ-centered work that will keep proclaiming the Gospel.
At 316NOW, such a gift can help equip Christian leaders in China with biblical training and resources so they, in turn, can share the good news of Jesus with others. Through these leaders, the Gospel reaches moms and dads, house churches, and future generations of believers.
Your generosity becomes a partnership in extending God’s love, hope, and compassion to people who need to hear the message of salvation. Together we can help Christians whom we may never meet proclaim Christ to people we will never know this side of heaven. It is a quiet yet powerful way to invest in eternal impact.
Estate gifts do not need to be large to make a difference. After providing for loved ones, even a small percentage of an estate designated for Christian ministry can make a substantial difference.
During Make-A-Will Month, consider reviewing your existing will or, if you do not yet have one, taking the first steps toward creating it. As you do, prayerfully ask: How can the blessings God has entrusted to me continue serving his kingdom in the years ahead?
