15 Days of Prayer

Beginning February 1, add your prayers to our prayers for the gospel to come to more in China.

Once I fell into the sea in winter. I knew nothing about swimming. I was not a Christian at that time. The Lord didn't let me drop into his hands and die. But he let me climb up to the boat by myself.

I had finished taking some photos in a big boat with an old grandma knitting the nets. Then I tried to get back into the very narrow canoe by which an old man took me there. He started rowing without letting me sit.

I plunged into the sea.

There were two cameras around my neck and a big bag on my shoulder.

I guess the Lord caught me as his fish, otherwise I might have been in the place of the devil. Now, since he brought me to faith in Jesus, I have been waiting for the day to come to drop into his big and soft hands.

In his grace, the Lord “caught” (Caihong ) with the gospel. Now she trusts in her Savior for much more than rescue from the sea. She strives to grow in her faith, taking many 316NOW classes. She has been a key interpreter for our teachers. When our professors traveled in China, she frequently traveled with them to translate for them and make their journey easier. She shares the rescuing hand of the Savior with many people around her.

Obviously, God had big plans for Caihong when he pulled her from the sea. He also has plans for you to help souls in China discover how much he also wants to “catch” them. One way you can do that is with your prayers.
